Hon. Justin Bedan Njoka Muturi, EGH.

A Kenyan politician and lawyer

who served as the seventh Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya from 2013 to 2022.

He was also the first Speaker to serve following the reestablishment of a bicameral Parliament as mandated by the 2010 Constitution.

Hon. Muturi was first elected as a member of the Kenya African National Union to represent Siakago Constituency in Parliament following a 1999 by-election. 

e also served as opposition chief whip and chair of the Public Investment Committee during the 10th Parliament. Muturi was formerly a  judiciary employee and served as a principal magistrate between 1982 and 1997.

He has also held various leadership positions in political and civil society groups, including serving as the chairman of the Centre for Multiparty Democracy.

Coming from a region that faces economic disadvantages such as poor infrastructure, limited access to credit and financial services, high poverty rates, low literacy levels, and inadequate healthcare facilities.

Hon. Muturi has strived to uplift the economic status of his community and has served his community and other regions of Kenya with distinction. 

Through his foundation he has contributed immensely through various charitable activities, such as sponsoring poor children to complete their education and offering various mentoring programmes.

Currently JMF is involved in various activities that are geared toward improving the life of the young generation.
